Trojan Hall of Fame

Trevecca inducted members #38 and #39 into the Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame during ceremonies at Homecoming on November 8, 2008-Scott Jones, Trevecca's most successful volleyball coach, and Jim Hendershot, one of Trevecca's most faithful supporters. Both men died unexpectedly in 2008.

Scott Jones, volleyball coach from 1997 to 2008, orchestrated the most successful 10-year stretch in the program's 34-year history. His teams had seven of the program's eight 20-win seasons. His teams advanced to the NAIA Region-XI Tournament six times.

James E. "Jim" Hendershot '67, a successful State Farm Insurance agent in Brentwood, Tennessee, had far-reaching ties to Trevecca: a member of the Trevecca Board of Trustees, frequent participant in Trevecca golf tournaments, and loyal fan of Trevecca athletics.

Begun in 1993, the Athletic Hall of Fame honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions within the Trevecca intercollegiate athletic program, which started in 1969. With these inductions, 39 individuals are now members of the Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame.
