DECATUR, Ala. - As the 30th Annual NAIA Softball National Tournament continues, the NAIA announced that Megan Hemmingsen, Melinda Patterson, and Karli Rush are among the 275 student-athletes named as 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes.
Hemmingsen, a 5'4" senior from Woodlawn, Patterson, a 5'8" junior from Camden, and Rush, a 5'6" junior from Mt. Juliet, have all been named TranSouth Scholar-Athletes in
each of the last two seasons.
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
