NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca volleyball coach Jayme Crowley is pleased to announce the signing of OH/RH Julie Dimick of Goddard, Kansas, who is transferring to TNU after playing one season at Friends University.

"Julie Dimick is an exciting new addition to our program," says Coach Crowley. "She can play two positions for our program, which will be a huge benefit to our team. Julie is a very solid student-athlete who will bring experience, leadership and stability to our program. She has an excellent work ethic both on the court and in the classroom which transcends to excellent determination and discipline."

Dimick was a three-year varsity starter in high school, serving as team captain as a senior, when she was named a Female Heisman Award winner. She earned Honorable Mention All-State honors as a senior, when she helped lead her team to a third place finish in the state tournament. Dimick was also named MVP of the 2009 Nazarene Tournament. At Friends University last season, Dimick helped lead the Falcons to the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament title and a berth in the NAIA National Tournament.

Coach Crowley adds, "She will be an exemplary role model for our program and university. Julie's special trait is her servant leadership skills in the mission field. she is currently on a two-week mission trip to South Africa, where she is providing her time, energy, love, and service to others. I look forward to the imprint that she will place on our Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball program."
