Nashville, Tenn. - Trevecca Nazarene University softball coach Ben Tyree has added his fourth recruit for the 2010-2011 recruiting class with the signing of Haylee Rogers of Beech High School and Goodlettsville, Tenn.

Rogers, a five-foot-four outfielder, played for Coach Wayne Smith and David Woods. The team captain helped lead Beech to a runner-up finish in the TSSAA AAA state tournament in 2010. Rogers is playing for Brian Drake with the Explosion 18-Gold team.

Tyree knows he's added another quality player to his roster, "We welcome Haylee to our program and are anxious to have her with us. She will compete for playing time early. Her talents extend beyond the field; she will be a great fit in our classrooms and around our campus as well."

For Beech in the 2010 season, Rogers hit .430 with three homers, 56 RBI, and scored 56 runs.

Rogers was named to the Tennessean's All-Midstate first team and the Middle Tennessee Coaches Association first team. She will play for the Tennessee All-Stars against the Kentucky All-Stars. Additional honors include making the All-District Team and All-Tournament Team.

Beech was nationally ranked by the USA Today/NFCA poll as the No. 13 team this year and No. 16 during her junior year.

Another rare highlight was Rogers hitting for the "Cycle" on April 21, 2009. In order, she hit a single, double, triple, and homerun. Then added another double in the game.
