NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Jonathan Burton has tapped a former Trojan hurler to fill a coaching vacancy on his staff. Luke Brown, who holds the school record for most wins in a season, has joined the Trojan staff as pitching coach.

"Adding Luke Brown to the coaching staff is a huge bonus and great day for the Trevecca baseball family," said coach Burton. "I know that our pitchers will be in great hands and that they will continue to develop under Coach Brown's guidance. He has a very exciting approach that our pitchers will instantly respond to. He was a big part of the past successes we have had as a program, and I am expecting our guys to continue to develop and mature throughout the season."

Burton continued, "Anytime you can add a former player which you have coached, it is a big lift. The immediate impact he will have because of the familiarity with our university and program will be unmatched. He has already hit the ground running and we are excited to get back to work for the coming season."

Brown fills the coaching position vacated by Jack Peel, an assistant with the Trojans over the last year. Peel left the program to accept a head coaching opportunity at another collegiate baseball program.

Coach Burton says he is thankful for the contributions coach Peel made to the program, "I can't thank Coach Peel enough for what he did for us in the year he was here. I was thankful for the hard work and determination he had while he was here and I wish him nothing but the best. We have always been close and will continue to do so as he continues his journey of being a college baseball head coach."
