NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Hannah Schnebly will join Ben Tyree's Trevecca softball team this fall as a transfer from Tennessee State University in Nashville.
The 5-foot-4 right-handed pitcher is originally from Weatherford (Texas) High School where she was a starting pitcher beginning with her sophomore year. Schnebly helped lead her team to the State Regional Finals. Her sophomore year, Hannah was voted the Pitcher of the Year in her district, and was the Most Valuable Player in her junior and senior years.
With her credentials it isn't a wonder that coach Tyree says she can have an impact this season, "We have heard so many good things about Hannah and are extremely excited that she is joining our program. She is the type of young lady that will make our team better on the field, around campus, and in the classroom. She has a lot of experience and will help our team in several different areas this season and during her career."
Schnebly was selected to the Fort Worth Star Telegram Super Team All Metro (2007, 2008, 2009). She was the District Pitcher of the Year in 2007, the District MVP (2008, 2009), All Metro (2007, 2008, 2009), Academic All District (2007, 2008, 2009, All-State Academic (2009), and Texas Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-State (2009).
Her 14-U team won the USSSA National Championship and played in a national tournament every year in her select ball career.
Schnebly also excels in the classroom and has been in the top 5% of her class throughout high school. She is a member of the Lone Star Leadership Academy, the National Honor Society, and is a Junior Board Member of the Weatherford National Bank.
