NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The TranSouth Athletic Conference announces its 2011 Women's Golf Awards and Ashley Scism of Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tenn. has claimed the 2011 TranSouth Women's Golfer of the Year award. It is the second time Scism has earned the award. She also claimed the award in 2009.

Scism, a junior from Donelson Christian Academy in Donelson, Tenn., was the Medalist at the 2009 and 2011 TranSouth Championship. Scism won four different tournaments this season and produced an 81.40 average over her 16 rounds this season. Scism had six sub 80 rounds this season. Twice she recorded a round of 75, matching the Trevecca record for low round. Scism also carded two rounds of 76. Scism is also an NAIA Scholar-Athlete with a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 in nursing.
