NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca (1-1) men's soccer team opened their 2008 Schedule against the Southern Poly Hornets (2-0) on Saturday, dropping an overtime heart breaker to the Hornets 2-1.

Mamadou Donso opened the scoring for the Hornets with 18:14 remaining in the first half when he converted on a penalty kick to give Southern Poly a 1-0 lead.

Mark Foster answered on a PK of his own with 2:24 remaining to tie the game, and at the break, the teams were tied 1-1.

From there, it was the Hayden Coffman show for the duration of the second half. Coffman made nine saves in the half, including several spectacular stops, keeping the Trojans in the game and forcing overtime with the score still tied at 1-1.

The Trojans' luck ran out in OT, however, as with just 26 seconds remaining, James Grant played a corner kick in to Donsu, who converted for his second goal of the game, giving the Hornets the 2-1 win. Coffman finished with 16 saves in the game.

Trevecca returns to action on Tuesday night, when the Union University Bulldogs come to Nashville to open the TranSouth season. Kickoff is slated for 8:00.
