NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's men's golf team returned to action on Monday with the start of the two-day Bill Sergent Classic hosted by University of the Cumberlands at the Crooked Creek Golf Course in London, Ky. The course played to a par of 72 over 6,933 yards. 

Trevecca finished 10 (of 11) with a 321 on the first day of the event. Lee University is first with a 294. Trevecca is just 14 strokes back of fifth place in the event that features four teams that were ranked or receiving votes in the final NAIA Top 25 last season.

Will Scism leads the Trevecca contingent with a first round (38-29) 77. The senior is in a tie for 24th (out of 63) place. Sam Bedwell of Lee University leads the tournament with a two under par 70. Trevecca's Quinn Cole is in 33rd place with a (42-37) 79 and is followed by David Saldana (41-39) 80, Joey Bradley (42-43) 85, and Skip Jones (44-41) 85.

The teams will finish play with another 18-hole round starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
