NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's men's golf team completed play at the Bill Sergent Classic on Tuesday with the sixth best score of the day. The event was hosted by University of the Cumberlands at the Crooked Creek Golf Course in London, Ky. The course played to a par of 72 over 6,933 yards.

Trevecca finished 9 (of 11) with a (321-303) 624 for the event. Lee University won the team competition with a (294-289) 583. Trevecca's 303 on Day Two was the sixth best score of the day. Overall the team finished just six strokes back of seventh place in the event that featured four teams that were ranked or receiving votes in the final NAIA Top 25 last season.

Quinn Cole, a sophomore from Ashland, Ky., led Trevecca with a (79-72) 151 and finished in a tie for 14th. His Par 72 on Day Two was the fifth best score of the day. Will Scism rounded out the rest of the Trevecca contingent with (77-75) 152. The senior finished in a tie for 20th (out of 63) place. Sam Bedwell of Lee University was the medalist for tournament with a (70-72) 142. The rest of the Trojans followed by David Saldana (80-86) 166, Joey Bradley (85-75) 160, and Skip Jones (85-81) 166.

The team will return to action on Friday, September 19 at the Cumberland (Tenn.) Invitational at the Legacy Golf Course in Springfield, Tenn.
