ST. CATHARINE, Ky. - The NCCAA #RV Trojan men's soccer team (4-2-1, 0-0 TranSouth) defeated St. Catharine (0-4-1) 2-1 on Tuesday
Senior Jordan Enix continued his torrid scoring pace with another goal, his sixth of the season. Enix is now third in goals in Trevecca men's soccer history. Enix unassisted goal came in the second minute of the match. The score remained 1-0 Trevecca through the first half of play.
In the second half both teams added a goal. The first was from St. Catharine's Sawyer Abshire who scored in the 74th minute with an assist from Jonathan Engstrom. Just four minutes later in the 78th minute Richie Reichenberger put the Trojans up for good with an unassisted goal.
Hayden Coffman stood tall in goal for the Trojans again. The senior allowed just one goal and had six saves.
Trevecca coach Danny Leavy said he is pleased with this teams resolve to win, "Though we didn't play great, this is another example of this year's team gutting out a win. This team keeps finding ways to win."
Enix now has 16 career goals and six this season. Reichenberger scored his first of the season and second in his career. Coffman produced his 20th career win in goal.
The Trojans now have a week off, before hosting TranSouth foe Mid-Continent (4-3, 0-0 TranSouth) next Tuesday (9/27) at 3:30 p.m.
