CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Trevecca Nazarene University finished sixth in the Don Bishop Invitational at Campbellsville Country Club. Trevecca shot a team score of 397-374 771 in sloppy conditions at the course. The course played to a par of 72 over 6541 yards. There were seven teams and 46 golfers participating.

The Trojans, like many teams, struggled with the wet and cooler temps both days.

Junior Whitney Phillips shot 90-90 180 for 23rd overall to lead Trevecca effort. Maddie Privott was next with an 98-98 196 and finished 30th. Sarah Jo Dixon (102-95 197) and Ashley Randolph (107-91 198) were the other TNU golfers competing.

University of the Cumberlands shot a team score of 315 Tuesday to rally past Lindsey Wilson College to win the team competition. The Lady Patriots trailed the Blue Raiders by nine strokes after Monday's opening round, but benefited from a 74 by Liz Stephens, who finished second, and a 76 by Laura Beth Harris, who finished sixth.

Kaitlin Allen, the only player to fire under par in the tournament with a 71 on Monday, shot 77 Tuesday to maintain her low medalist status. She led Lindsey Wilson to a second-place finish, which lost its lead by three strokes.

Play will resume Tuesday, Sept. 20 with an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start at Campbellsville Country Club.
