JACKSON, Tenn. - The Trevecca volleyball team (9-8, 3-1 TranSouth) dropped a five-set heartbreaker at Union (7-7, 3-2) Thursday night, losing to the Bulldogs 25-21, 25-27, 25-15, 21-25, 5-15. The victory for Union was its second of the season over the Trojans.

Brittany Eller led the Trojan attack with 15 kills, and added 12 digs. Jenna Robertson chipped in 11 kills, while Persephonie Devereaux and Kirsten Taylor added eight apiece.

The Trojans led two sets to one, and looked to be on the verge of putting the match away. But credit the Bulldogs, who battled through a close fourth set to even the match, forcing a fifth and deciding set, which Union won easily to clinch the victory.

Halley Wiggins had 38 assists for Trevecca, and added nine digs and three kills. Haley White and Kristen Johnson led the Trojans with 13 digs apiece.

The Trojans will play at NAIA #RV Freed-Hardeman (6-2, 2-1) Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
