MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The NCCAA #RV Trojan men's soccer team (4-4-1, 0-2 TranSouth) managed just one shot on goal in a 4-0 loss to NAIA No. 19 Bethel University (5-1-2, 3-0) Friday afternoon.
The Wildcats tallied all four of their goals in a dominant opening half of play. Mohammed Dumbuya opened the scoring in the 10', Dawyne Smith scored in the 32' and again less than four minutes later, and Guilherme Karaoglan capped the scoring with a goal in the final minute of the first half.
Bethel peppered 31 shots at Trevecca keeper Hayden Coffman, 15 of those on goal. The Trojans managed four shots, but only one on goal.
Coffman played the entire match in goal for Trevecca, stopping 11 shots. Chaz Dachenhaus played the first half for Bethel and made the Wildcats' only save of the night. Fabian Doubek played the second half in goal for Bethel.
Tuesday, the Trojans travel to NAIA #RV Martin Methodist (3-3, 1-0) for a 7 p.m. match.
