- Trevecca's women's golf team opened their season on Monday at the
two-day Mid-South
Tournament hosted by Lindsey Wilson College. The tournament is being
played at the Dale Hollow State Park course in Burkesville, Ky. The
course is
playing to a par of 72 over 5,930 yards. There are eight teams and 138
golfers competing in the event.
After the first day of
play Trevecca sits in third place and TNU's Alyssa Moe is in fifth
place. Moe
posted a (38-41) 79 while the team combined for a 340. All of
Trevecca's golfers are in the top 20. Betsy Beaver is in 13th position
with a (43-42) 85
and is followed by Brooke Dillehay's (43-44) 87 in 15th place and
Ashley Birdwell's (45-44) 89 in 17th place.
Lindsey Wilson leads the tournament with a 318 and to low round of the day belonged to Krista Burton
who carded a (37-38) 75. Campbellsville is six strokes ahead of Trevecca at 334.
The teams will finish play with another 18 holes on Tuesday.
