BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Trojan men's basketball team (11-7, 4-2 TranSouth) picked up a 70-68 road win at Lyon College (6-11, 0-5) on Thursday night at Becknell Gym. Michael France led four Trojans in double figures with 17 points. France tied the game with a three with less than a minute remaining, then Peyton Henry hit two free throws to break the tie. After the France three, Marquise Rudolph secured his eighth steal that set the stage for the Henry free throws.

Lyon led 12-10 with 13:46 to go in the first half when the Trojans rolled off a 15-0 run to take a 25-12 lead with 8:14 remaining. Six different Trojans scored in the run. Lyon closed the 13-point Trevecca lead to just six points (35-29) at the half. Trevecca hit 50% from the field and drained 4-of-5 three pointers in the first half.

Trevecca outscored Lyon 14-6 over the first four minutes of the second half. When JP Nyadaro hit a field goal with 14:10 to go, the Trojans looked to be in control with a 14-point (53-39) lead. The Scots had other ideas as they slowly chipped away at the Trojan lead and eventually took the lead (62-61) with 4:39 remaining. When Lyon pushed their lead to three points (68-65) with 1:19 to go, the Trojans appeared to have let a double-digit lead slip away into a loss.

Michael France, Marquise Rudolph and Peyton Henry rallied the Trojans though, scoring five points over the final minute for the win. France hit a step-back three-pointer to tie the game at 68 with :52 remaining. Then Marquise Rudolph took the ball from Slater Belew and passed ahead to Peyton Henry who was fouled with :18 seconds remaining. Henry hit a pair of free throws for a 70-68 win.

"I thought all of our big guys (Orr, Morris, Nyadaro) attacked the basket well and Michael hit a big three to tie the game," said Trevecca coach Sam Harris. "Peyton was clutch hitting those free throws for the win and you have to give Marquise credit for getting the ball back for a chance to get the win."

Michael France led Trevecca with 17 points, hitting 4-of-5 from three-point range. Keith Morris (14), JP Nyadaro (11), and Marquise Rudolph (10) all scored in double figures as well. Marquise Rudolph added eight steals, three rebounds, and three assists. Trevecca shot 56% (24-43) from the field, 67% (6-9) from three-point range, and 73% (16-22) from the foul line.

Lyon had a 35-20 advantage on the boards and where led in scoring by Devonte Young's 13 points. Lyon outscored Trevecca 39-35 in the second half.

The Trojans will be back on the road next week with a trip to Jackson, Tenn., for a matchup with #RV Union University (12-7, 5-1 TranSouth) Jan 26 at 8 p.m. at Fred DeLay Gymnasium.
