NASHVILLE, Tenn. - During Trevecca's home basketball games on Thursday, February 23, 2012, the Trevecca athletic department will present their latest Trojans In Service project - Adoption Sponsorship.

The Adoption Sponsorship initiative is designed to assist families in our community ease the financial burden incurred during their adoption process.

The Trevecca athletic department will donate $3 of each adult general admission ticket sold during the two games on Thursday to Chad and Aubry Maxson. Additionally, there will be table setup for adoption in the lobby for anyone attending the games to talk with the Maxson's about their adoption process and to make a donation. We will introduce the Maxson's at halftime of the men's basketball game.

Chad & Aubry Maxson are excited to be adoptive parents! Chad grew up in Bourbonnais, Ill. and attended Olivet Nazarene University. Aubry grew up overseas as a daughter of missionaries in Indonesia. They married in 2001 and moved to Nashville when Chad began his PhD studies in theology at Vanderbilt University. He currently works at Trevecca in the College of Lifelong Learning. Aubry teaches first grade at Harding Academy. They have been in a domestic adoption process with Bethany Christian Services for almost two years. They are currently being considered by a birth family and are hopeful to adopt in the very near future!

Trojans In Service is the Trevecca Athletic Department's community service program, through which Trojan athletic teams give back to the Middle Tennessee, Southeastern, and Global communities.
