NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca
(12-6, 5-4)returned to action on
Tuesday, hosting the Bethel Wildcats (8-6, 5-3) and avenging an earlier loss 3-0.
The Trojans came
out firing, taking the first set 25-21. The two teams battled hard in
set number two, but midway through the set, Trevecca rattled off a 5-0
run to provide some breathing room en route to taking the second set
25-18. Bethel came out in the third set and took a quick 3-0 lead, but
the Trojans came back to take the next four points to reclaim the
advantage. From that point, neither team held a lead larger than two
points for the remainder of the match. Trevecca did, however take five
of the last seven points to claim the straight sets victory 25-23.
Trevecca will host Martin Methodist
College (1-15, 1-6) on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
