TranSouth Tournament Information
HENDERSON, Tenn. -
Trevecca's men's soccer team's (8-7-2, 3-4 TSAC) final regular season game turned out to be a road win at Freed-Hardeman University (7-11, 0-7) on Friday. The Trojans spoiled senior for the Lions with a 1-0 victory on Halloween night.

TNU's Sam Madeley slipped through the Lion defense and put a ball past FHU keeper Alexandre Girodo in the 15th minute, and that goal held up for the remainder of play. Girodo stopped 10 of the 11 shots he faced including two from point-blank range. However, Trojan keeper Hayden Coffman had a close-range save in the 87th minute, diving to his left to smother a shot off the foot of Simbarashe Zvaita that would have tied the match. Coffman had a total of four saves. The Lions, who played a man down from the 80th minute on after Saul Simpson received a red card, were able to get the ball into the box several times but the Trojan defenders managed to clear the ball more often than not.

Trevecca had a total of 18 shots with 12 of the being on goal. Maddley had eight shots and six were on goal. Alija Turkovic provided the assist on the score by Maddley.

The team will participate in the TranSouth Tournament beginning November 8, 2008.
