NASHVILLE, Tenn. - #RV Trevecca (1-0) opened the regular season with a 67-62 Homecoming victory over the University of Michigan at Dearborn (0-2) on Saturday at Moore Gym.

The teams were nip and tuck throughout the first half. The Wolves pulled ahead at the 5:05 of the first half at 27-25. They would hold a 29-26 lead at the half. Trevecca remained close early in the portion of the second half and pulled ahead 40-36 with a 6-0 run that ended at the 11:43 mark of the second half. The visitors answered right back with a 7-0 run of their own to take a 43-40 lead. Trevecca battled back and took the lead for good (49-47) with 7:15 to play. That was a part of a 10-0 run that put the Trojans up 52-47. Trevecca's largest lead was nine points (64-49) with less than two minutes to play.

Michael France (Freshman/Shelbyville, Tenn.) led the Trojans in scoring with 18 points. He was 11-17 from the field and added two rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Jeremy Dixon (14), Matthew Elliott (13), and DeJon Everson (12) all joined France in double figure scoring. Christopher Harris and Jeremy Dixon had a team high five rebounds. Dixon and Everson had a team high five assists. Elliott and France both had a team high three steals.

Trevecca shot 25-of-58 (43%) from the field, 5-of-18 (28%) from beyond the arch, and 12-of-19 (63%) from the foul line.

The Trojans have a 5-0 all-time mark against the Wolves.

Trevecca will play their final exhibition game on Friday, November 14 at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn. The game will start at 7 p.m. The radio broadcast will be delayed on WNAZ until after the women's basketball broadcast. The Trojans will travel to play the University of Illinois Springfield (1-0) on Saturday, November 15 at 4 p.m.
