NASHVILLE, Tenn. - K.C. Van Atta, of Trevecca Nazarene University, was named the TranSouth Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 9, 2008.

Van Atta, a 5-11 sophomore forward from Mt. Juliet, Tenn., scored a career-high 30 points, grabbed six rebounds and hit a school single-game record eight three-pointers in the Trojans 73-66 come-from-behind win over Shorter College in Rome, Ga.In the game, she hit eight of 14 three-point attempts. Van Atta added 17 points in TNU's 74-70 win at No. 23 Berry College.

The No. 4 Trojans improved to 3-0 on the season.
