NASHVILLE, Tenn. - #RV Trevecca (5-5, 0-1)hosted the Freed-Hardeman University Lions (7-4, 1-0) on Thursday dropping their TranSouth opener 88-82.

The two teams battled hard out of the gate, with the Trojans building an early 11-9 lead, before stretching the lead out to as many as five points twice at 17-12 and 19-14. Freed-Hardeman then rattled off a 9-0 run to give the Lions the lead 23-19. After the Trojans cut it to 23-21, Freed-Hardeman used a 14-0 run to firmly establish their grip on the game, and at the half, the Lions led 45-33.
