NASHVILLE,
Tenn. - Trevecca (5-6) fell to NAIA D2 No. 19 Bluefield College
(7-4) on Friday by the score of 95-82 in the Robert Garrett Classic at Trevecca's Moore Gym.
Trevecca is hosting the Annual Robert Garrett Classic that honors former Trojan Robert
Garrett
who passed away just before the start of his senior season in August of 2004.

Trevecca opend the
game with a basket from Tulio Yamasita, but the visiting Rams answered
with a 8-0
run and gave the Trojans all they could handle the rest of the way.
Trevecca rallied back to take a 16-15 leadwith 12:27 to go in the first
half. It
was apart of a 8-0 run that eventually fueld the Trojans largest lead
of the game (30-24) with 9:10 to go in the half.
Bluefield answered with a 14-4 run that put them ahead 38-34 with 5:17 to play. The Rams would go on
to hold a five point (48-43) lead at the half.
The Rams outscored the
Trojans 22-11 to start the second half and lead 70-54 with 10:50
remaining.
With 6:10 to go and Bluefield holding their largest lead of the game,
Trevecca began to mount a rally. Trevecca scored 12 unanswered points
to cut the
lead to just six points (85-79) with 2:56 to go. Bluefields leading
scorer, Coryon Ross (28), hit a deep three-pointer with two Trojans
defending as
the shot clock had dropped to three seconds to essentially end the
Trojans hopes. TNU sent the Rams to the line, but they hit enough to
pull away for
a 95-82 victory.
Trevecca was led by
Brian Oduor's 32 points and Tulio Yamasita's 10 rebounds. De'Jon
Everson led the
team with seven assists. Trevecca hit 32-of-61 (52%) from the field,
5-of-17 (29%) from beyond the three-point line, and 13-of-16 (81%) from
the foul
line.
Trevecca will play Shorter College (5-6) on Saturday at 4 p.m. Shorter fell NAIA D1 No. 13 Martin
Methodist 66-62 in the first game of the Classic.
The 12-0 RedHawks will play Bluefield on
Saturday at 2 p.m.
Trevecca will play its final game of the 2008 school year on
Tuesday, December 16 when they host NAIA D2 No. 9 Cedarville University (10-1)
at 7 p.m.
