
Trojans were up early and led 10-5. The Eagles took a 13-10 lead with a 8-0 run. The Trojans tied the game at 16, but Lambuth pushed ahead again and led 23-18 with 6:00 minutes on the first half clock. Trevecca cut the lead to three (25-22), but Lambuth went on a 10-0 run to take a 35-22 lead with 3:00 remaining in the half. The Eagles took their largest lead of the game (16 points) with 1:20 to go in the half. Lambuth held a 41-28 halftime lead. In the second half, the Trojans closed to within eight at 46-38, but that was as close as they would get. Lambuth used several small runs to put the game away, taking the win 80-62.
K.C. Van Atta and Abby Lawson led the way for the Trojans offensively with 18 points each, and Jennifer Bognar paced the team in rebounds with seven. Trevecca turned the ball over 26 times in the contest. As a team, the Trojans shot20-of-56 (35.7%) from the floor, 7-of-22 (31.8%) from long distance, and 15-of-26 (57.7%) from the charity stripe.
Trevecca will host TranSouth foe Lyon College (5-9, 1-2) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
