Trevecca did lead briefly at 4-2, but Cumberland came back quickly to tie the game at 4-4. an 8-2 Cumberland spurt stretched the Bulldogs' lead to six points with 12:15 to play in the first half, and for much of the remainder of the period, the Trojans' deficit hovered around the six point mark. Matthew Elliott could not get his three point attempt to fall, and Brian Oduor hit a jumper at the buzzer, but it was a two point field goal and the Trojans fell 76-75.
Oduor led the Trojans with 29 points and nine rebounds. He was joined in double figures by Elliott (14), Harris (10), and France (10). De'Jon Everson dished out seven assists in the contest.
