HENDERSON, Tenn. - NAIA No. 3 Trevecca (18-2, 7-1 TranSouth) fell for only the second time this season. For the second time the road was unkind as the Trojans lost 66-57 at No. 6 Freed-Hardeman's (17-5, 7-2) Sports Center.

Freed=Hardeman took an early lead (11-5) but Trevecca rallied to led 16-15 with 9:31 to go in the first half. After a brief Lion lead the Trojans tied the game again at 20 apiece with 7:16 to go. FHU outscored TNU 14-6 to close the half for a 34-26 halftime advantage.

Casey Attebury cut the Lion lead to five (36-31) with a field goal at the 18:55 mark in the second half. The Lions pulled away again and held a double figure lead for most of the half. Meribeth Boehler sank two free throws and gave her Lions a 60-49 lead with 4:46 to go. Abby Lawson hit two free throws for Trevecca with 1:36 to go and pulled the Trojans to within six points (60-54), but the
Trojans couldn't close the gap further and lost 66-57.

Abby Lawson led Trevecca with 27 points. She was 10-of-25 from the field and added eight rebounds as well as two blocks and two steals. She was the only Trojan in double figures. Jennifer Bognar had seven rebounds. As a team the Trojans hit 20-of-60 (33%) from the field, 6-of-23 (26%) from three-point range, and 11-of-15 (73%) from the foul line. FHU outrebounded TNU 45-38. .

The next home game will be against No. 1 Union University (20-1, 8-0) on Thursday, February 5 at 6 p.m.
