In the second half, the Trojans - led by freshman Michael France - battled back, tying the game twice, then reclaiming the lead with 16:35 remaining. With 14:44 remaining in the game, Tulio Yamasita hit a free throw to give the Trojans a 49-47 lead, but Freed came back to tie the game at 49-49 with 13:17 to go. Shun Trevillian hit a layup with 12:35 to play, and the Lions led the rest of the night. Trevecca cut the deficit to three several times, but Trevecca would get no closer. The Lions stretched the lead back out at the foul line, claiming the win 88-73.
France led the Trojans with 22 points, and he was joined in double figures by Christopher Harris (18) and Brian Oduor (10). Oduor led the Trojans with six rebounds as well.
