NASHVILLE, Tenn. - NAIA No. 10 Trevecca (18-5) hosted No. 3 Lambuth University (19-4) on Thursday, dropping their fourth consecutive game 64-56.

The Eagles took the lead three minutes into the game, and never were tied or trailed thanks to an abnormally poor shooting effort from the Trojans. Lambuth quickly built a 10-2 lead, on their way to an 18-8 lead with 6:17 to play in the half. Trevecca hit only two of their first 23 shots in the game, and at the half, Trevecca had not hit a three-point field goal, but the Eagles led by just six, 25-19. Trevecca came out and immediately cut the deficit to three on their first possession of the second half, as Christian Gibson hit the team's first three-pointer of the game, but Lambuth responded by pulling back out to a seven point lead at 29-22. Trevecca got the deficit down to two points with 10:34 to play, but that was as close as they would get. Lambuth eventually led by as many as with 6:38 remaining, and though the Trojans fought hard, the Eagles held on for the 64-56 win.

Four Trojans were in double figures, led by Christian Gibson and Jennifer Bognar who each had 13. K.C. Van Atta scored 11 points in her return to the Trojans' lineup, and Abby Lawson added 10 points in the loss. Gibson led the Trojans with nine rebounds and four assists.

The Trojans will return to action on Saturday afternoon when they head to McKenzie, Tenn. to take on the Bethel Wildcats (16-8, 7-4 TranSouth) at 2:00.
