MCKENZIE, Tenn. - NAIA No. 10 Trevecca (19-5, 8-3 TranSouth) returned to action on Saturday afternoon when they visited No. 19 Bethel Wildcats (16-9, 7-5) and came away with a 74-59 victory. It breaks a string of four losses for the Trojans.

The win is the 100th win for Gary Van Atta at Trevecca. Van Atta now owns a 100-29 record in his fourth season at Trevecca.

Bethel started with a 7-0 run to start the gameand led 12-3 with 16:42 to go in the first half. Trevecca took their first lead at 19-18 on a Paige McFarlin basket with 9:53 to go in the half. Trevecca was able to gain a 30-27 lead at the break. The Trojans pulled away slowly in the second half and sealed the win with a 7-0 run. With the score 60-51, Trevecca scored seven straight to go up 68-50.

Jennifer Bognar led the Trojans with 25 points and 11 rebounds. She hit all 10 of her shots from the field and hit all five free throws. Bognar's 10-for-10 performance from the floor sets a new Trevecca mark for single game field goal percentage record. The previous mark of 7-for-7 was held by Molly Schoenberg, Jackie Weaver, and Jessica Spencer. Abby Lawson had a double-double as well with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Lawson added three assists. Christian Gibson also added 11 points and a team high four assists.

Trevecca will host Blue Moutain College (6-18, 2-9) on Monday at 6 p.m..
