MCKENZIE, Tenn. - Trevecca (11-14, 5-6) returned to action on Saturday, snapping their five game skid at Bethel College (12-14, 1-11 TranSouth), taking the win .  

The teams battled closely out of the gate, with the game tied at 10-10 with 11:16 to play in the first half. The Trojans then went on a 9-0 run over the next four minutes to open up a nine point lead. Trevecca continued to build on that momentum for the rest of the half, and at the break, the Trojans led 29-17. Bethel used an 11-0 run early in the second half to close the gap to five points at 35-30, but Michael France picked up the Trojans and helped stretch the lead back out to 10 with 9:30 left to play. The Trojans continued to execute well down the stretch, slowly pulling away to the 61-49 win.


Brian Oduor led the Trojans with 22 points in the game, and France joined him in double figures with 10. Oduor grabbed nine boards in the contest, and Matthew Elliott led the Torjans with three assists.

 

As a team, Trevecca shot 24-of-45 (53.3%) from the floor, 2-of-8 (25%) from long distance, and 11-of-17 (64.7%) from the free throw line.

 

The Trojans will return home Monday to take on the Blue Mountain Toppers (2-23, 1-10 TranSouth) at 8:00.
