
Blue Mountain took the early lead, holding a 22-17 advantage with 12:17 to play, but the Trojans came back strong. Trevecca used a 9-0 run to claim the lead at 26-22 with 10:21 left in the half. The Trojans continued to shoot well for the remainder of the half, and at the break Trevecca led 60-52. In the second half, the Trojans continued the offensive onslaught, quickly stretching the lead into double figures, and with 10:51 remaining the lead hit the 20 point mark at 88-68. The lead would get as large as 25 points at 110-85 with 4:16 to play, as the Trojans cruised to the 123-100 win.
Six Trojans were in double figures, led by Michael France who had 27. Christopher Harris had 22 points, and team highs with 13 rebounds and eight assists; Brian Oduor chipped in 19, Jeremy Dixon had 15, De'Jon Everson had 11, and Tyler Watkins scored 10 points.
As a team, the Trojans shot 42-of-78 (53.8%) from the floor, 7-of-24 (29.2%) from beyond the arc, and 32-of-40 (80%) from the free throw line. The Trojans dished out 33 assists as a team in the game as well.
Trevecca will visit Martin Methodist (20-6, 8-5) on Saturday at 4 p.m. The RedHawks are receiving votes in the latest NAIA Division 1 Men's Basketball poll.
