NASHVILLE, Tenn. - NAIA No. 20 Trevecca Nazarene Trojans (5-4) hosted No. 18 Auburn Montgomery (8-5) on Friday for a double-header, taking the first game of the twinbill 11-4.
 
Tim Dunn (3-0) took the ball for the Trojans in game one, and Trevecca immediately staked him to the lead. Nathan Wright hit a three-run opposite field home run in the bottom of the second inning and a Chris Lowe RBI single later in the inning made it 4-0. Auburn Montgomery plated a pair of runs in the top of the third, but the Trojans kept the offense rolling. Trevecca scored a run in the third, three more in the fourth, and two more in the fifth to make it a 10-2 ballgame. The Senators pulled to within six at 10-4 with two runs in the top of the sixth, but Trevecca added another tally in the bottom half to seal the 11-4 victory.
 
Dunn tossed a complete game, earning the win while allowing four runs - three earned - on seven hits. Dunn walked one and struck out three in the game. Daniel Holder (2-1) took the loss for Auburn Montgomery. Matt Tidwell was 4-for-4 in the game with a triple and two runs scored; Nathan Wright was 1-for-3 with the homer, two runs scored and three RBI; Brian Dirheimer was 1-for-4 with a homer and two RBI; Chris Lowe was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two stolen bases, and two RBI; and Ross Muirhead was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
 
Trevecca scored 11 runs on 10 hits and made four errors, while Auburn Montgomery had four runs on seven hits and comitted two errors.
