ATHENS, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene Trojans (7-5) continued the 2009 campaign on Wednesday when they hit the road to take on Tennessee Wesleyan College (9-7), run-ruling the Bulldogs 10-0.

The Trojans struck first, plating two runs in the top of the first inning, giving Wesley Griggs (1-2) the early 2-0 lead. Trevecca added a single run in the second inning, three in the fifth, and four in the seventh. Griggs was masterful for the Trojans on the mound, tossing a complete game shutout, allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out three. Justin Crowell (0-3) started the game and took the loss for the Bulldogs. Offensively for the Trojans, Chris Lowe led the way. Lowe went 2-for-4 in the game with a home run (1) and two RBI (12), and he was the only Trojans with more than one hit in the game. Ross Muirhead was 1-for-2 with a double (5), an RBI (10) and a run scored (11); and Omar DeJesus was 1-for-3 with a double (2) and two RBI (4). Trevecca scored their 10 runs on just five hits and committed one error, while Tennessee Wesleyan was held to a single hit and made four errors defensively.
The Trojans will return home Friday, opening a weekend series with the Bethel (Ind.) Pilots (1-1) with a single game at 2:00.
