NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene Trojans
(8-5)returned home Friday, opening a weekend series
with the Bethel (Ind.) Pilots
(1-1) with a double-header. Trevecca took the first game of the afternoon 3-1. Bethel
scored a run in the top of the first off of Tim Dunn, but Trevecca
answered with a tally in the bottom of the frame to tie the ame at 1-1.
The Trojans tacked on two more in the bottom of the third, and that was
enough for Trojan starter Tim Dunn. Dunn (4-0) was masterful,
scattering eight hits in a complete game. Dunn allowed just one earned
run and walked one in the game, while striking out seven. Offensively,
Brian Dirheimer had a pair of hits, and an RBI. Cody Heggie and Chris
Lowe knocked in the other two runs for the Trojans. Trey Morrison had a
two hit day as well. Trevecca scored three runs on eight hits and
committed one error, while Bethel scored once on eight hits and made
two errors.
