SAVANNAH, Ga. - Trevecca's women's golf team opened the spring portion of the 2008-2009 schedule at the 2009 Savannah Art and Design Spring Invitational. The tournament was played at the Wilmington Island Golf Club, a par-71 course that measures 5,805 yards. There were 16 teams and 82 golfers in the tournament field.

The Trojans finished in eight place out of 16 teams. No. 10 Berry College and No. 11 Northwood (Fla.) University's Emelie Andersson won the team and individual titles. Berry shot a 642 (316-326). Andersson shot a 156 (71-85).

Ashley Birdwell finished alone in 28th place with a 174 (85-89), Brooke Dillehay was in 29th place with a 175 (82-94) while Alyssa Moe posted a 187 (86-101) and Betsy Beaver finished with a 193 (95-98).

Trevecca will compete in the William Woods Invitational at the Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Mo. on March 30-31
