JAMUL, Calif. - Trevecca's men's golf team opened the spring portion of the 2008-2009 schedule at the Point Loma Nazarene/Smee Builders Invitational. The Tournament was played at the 6,834 yard Steele Canyon Golf Club and played to a par of 71. The Trojans finished 14th out of 15 teams. The teams played 36 holes on Monday and another 18 on Tuesday (March 3). There were 76 golfers participating. Point Loma Nazarene won with a team score of 866 (292-288-286). Mitchell Evanecz of Victoria B.C. was the tournament medalist with a 207 (66-70-71).

Trevecca posted a team total of 964 (323-314-327), with Joey Bradley leading the way for the Trojans. Bradley posted an 232 (80-74-78) to finish in 36th place. The remainder of the Trojans were; Skip Jones with a 239 (80-78-81), Grant Moffett shot a 249 (79-81-89), Bobby Humburg also had a 249 (86-82-81), and Will Scism posted a 252 (84-81-87).

The team will suit up again on March 9-10 at the Rome News-Tribune (Berry College) Invitational at the Stonebridge Golf Course in Rome, Ga.
