CLEVELAND, Tenn. - Trevecca's (12-9, 2-1 TranSouth) dropped a 10-8 decision at NAIA No. 2 Lee University (22-1) on Tuesday at Olympic Park in Cleveland, Tenn. Lee is coached by former Trojan Mark Brew.

Trevecca fell behind early before rallying to take a 8-6 lead. In his first start of the year, senior Nick Shoup allowed four runs in two innings of work before being relieved in the bottom of the third inning. Lee scored three in the first and third innings to take a 6-0 lead. Trevecca scratched a run in the fourth before tying the game with five runs in the topo of the sixth. Trevecca added two runs in the seventh and held a 8-6 lead. The Flames cut the lead in half with a run in their half of the seventh. Lee pulled ahead for good with another three-run inning in the eighth, giving the a 10-8 victory.

Wesley Griggs (1-5) was the pitcher of record for the Trojans and Jeff Ibarra (3-1) got the win for Lee. Chris Lowe continue his stellar hitting with a 3-5 performance. He scored two runs and added a double and stolen base. Brian Dirheimer was 1-5 with a run scored, RBI, and double. Matt Tidwell was 2-3 with an RBI and run scored. Trey Morrison was 1-1 with a walk, a home run and three RBI.
Trevecca scored eight runs on 11 hits and had two errors. Lee scored 10 runs on 20 hits and had an error.

Trevecca will visit St. Catherine (14-3) on Wednesday at Noon. St. Catherine plans to provide a webcast.
