NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's baseball team (16-10, 5-1 TranSouth) hosted No. 2 Lee University (24-4) for a double-header on Tuesday, taking the first game of the twinbill 4-0.

Ben Johnson started the game for the Trojans and cruised through the first inning before running into some trouble in the second inning. Lee loaded the bases with one out, but Johnson was able to induce an inning ending double play ball off the bat of Flames' second baseman Max Harvell to escape the jam. In the bottom of the frame, the Trojans offense used that momentum to sieze control of the game. Cody Heggie led off with a single and advanced to second on Trey Morrison's sacrifice bunt. Aaron bree reached on an error by Harvell and Nathan Wright cleared the bases with a three-run homer (4) to give Johnson all he would need and more. Johnson (3-0) threw five innings of one hit baseball, walking five and striking our eight to earn the win over Pablo Lopez (1-1). Trevecca added an insurance run in the bottom of the fifth, and Tim Dunn tossed the final two innings to preserve the win.

Wright was 2-for-3 with the homer - which was the only extra-base hit of the game for either team - two runs scored and three RBI. Cody Heggie also had a pair of hits in the game, posting a 2-for-3 effort with a run scored. Trevecca scored four runs on seven hits and committed two errors, while Lee managed just one hit and made one error.
