NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's baseball team (16-11, 5-1 TranSouth) hosted No. 2 Lee University (25-4) for a double-header on Tuesday, dropping the second game 7-6.

Drew Durossette took the ball for Trevecca. Lee jumped on top with a run in the top of the first, but the Trojans answered with three in the bottom of the third to take the 3-1 lead. Lee's Michael Brown hit a three-run homer in the top of inning number four to give the Flames the 4-3 lead, but the Trojans tied it up in the bottom of the fifth. Lee scored twice off Durossette (0-4) in the top of the sixth to claim the lead back at 6-4. After Lee added an insurance run off Wes Griggs in the top of the seventh, the Trojans mounted one last charge in the bottom of the inning. Trey Morrison laced a two-RBI single to left that cut the deficit to 7-6, but that was all the Trojans could muster, as Lee took the game 7-6. Durossette tossed 5 2/3 innings, allowing six earned runs on eight hits while walking five and striking out six. Jeff Ibarra (4-1) earned the victory for the Flames.
Chris Lowe was 2-for-3 in the game with three runs scored; Marty Parks was 2-for-2 with a double, a stolen base and a run scored; Brian Dirheimer was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI; Nathan Wright was 1-for-4 with a double, and Trey Morrison was 1-for-3 with two RBI. Lee scored seven runs on 10 hits and made two errors, and Trevecca scored six runs on ten hits without making an error.

Trevecca will step out of TranSouth play this weekend when they host the Lambuth Eagles (18-7) for a three game weekend set. The teams will play a single game on Friday at 2:00 and a double-header on Saturday starting at Noon.
