NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca softball team (7-8) hosted No. 13 Martin Methodist (16-5) on Tuesday, Splitting a double-header with the RedHawks. Martin Methodist took the first game 3-2.
 
Martin Methodist put up single tallies in the first and third innings off of Trojans' starter Stephanie Fisher, but Lauren Baker tied the game with a two-RBI single in the bottom of the fifth. In the top of the sixth, however, Chrissy Worth hit what proved to be a game winning homer off of Fisher (3-3) to give the redhawks the 3-2 win.
 
Fisher tossed a complete game for the Trojans in the loss, allowing three earned runs on seven hits. She did not walk anyone and struck out three on the afternoon. Baker, Chelsea Bailey, Caitlyn Bailey, Karli Rush, and Riley Mashburn each had hits in the game. Chalsea Bailey's was a double and she had a stolen base as well. Martin Methodist scored three runs on seven hits and committed one error in the game, while Trevecca scored two runs on five hits and did not make an error.
