NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's baseball team (17-12, 5-1 TranSouth) hosted the Lambuth Eagles (20-8) for a double-header on Saturday, with the Eagles taking game one 2-1.

Lambuth squeaked across a run in the top of the first, and another in the top of the third to take the 2-0 lead. In the bottom of the sixth, Ross Muirhead hit a solo homer (4) to cut the defecit to 2-1, but that was all the Trojans would get, as the Eagles held on for the 2-1 win. Wes Griggs (2-6) took the loss for Trevecca, tossing a complete game and allowing two earned runs on 10 hits. He walked three and struck out seven in the game. Brent Ebinger (6-0) earned the win for the Eagles. Muirhead was 1-for-2 in the game with the home run. Lambuth scored two runs on 10 hits, and the Trojans scored one run on four hits. Neither team made an error in the game.
