NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca softball team (12-11, 3-0 TranSouth) took the first of two games with Nationally-Ranked Bethel College (18-8, 2-1) by the score of 7-1.  

In game one, Trevecca scored seven runs in the fourth inning and allowed just one run to the Wildcats in the fifth for the win. Caitlyn Bailey was 3-for-3 with a runs scored. Trevecca had seven hits and one error. The Wildcats had eight hits and three errors. Riley Mashburn scored a run and hit a double. Chelsea Bailey was 1-3 with a run scored, a walk and a stolen base. Stephanie Fisher (4-4) got the win with four innings pitched. Fisher allowed five hits and struck out three. Riley Mashburn pitched the final three innings and picked up the save (1). Mashburn allowed three hits, one run, and struck out one. Amber Metzger (5-6) took the loss for Bethel. She allowed seven hits, seven runs, three walks, and struck out one.

 

Trevecca will host Lyon College (9-11-2, 0-0) for a double-header at Noon on Saturday.
