NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's baseball team (19-12, 5-1 TranSouth) hosted Shawnee State (12-11) on Friday for a double-header, with the Trojans taking game one 4-1.

Tim Dunn took the ball in game one, and he was immediately given a 1-0 lead. Marty Parks led off the bottom of the first inning with a double, then after a wild pitch from the Bears' Andrew Carter, Chris Lowe knocked Parks in with a sacrifice fly to make it 1-0 Trevecca. Shawnee State tied the game with a run in the top of the third inning, but Dunn escaped with the game still tied. In the bottom of the sixth, Trevecca got back to back two out doubles from Trey Morrison and Nathan Wright to plate three runs and give Dunn all he would need to notch the 4-1 win.

Dunn (8-0) tossed a complete game, allowing one earned run on five hits and fanning four. Carter (2-1) took the loss for the Bears. Parks was 2-for-3 with a double (9), a run scored, and a stolen base; Wright was 2-for-3 with a double (7) and an RBI (17); and Trey Morrison was 1-for-2 with a double (7), a walk, and two RBI (22). Trevecca scored four runs on eight hits and Shawnee State scored one run on five hits. Neither team committed an error.
