CLIFTON, Tenn. - After an almost two hour weather delay that saw severe thunderstorms roll through and around Clifton, Tenn., the first round of the Union University Spring Invitational at Ross Creek Landing Golf Club was completed. The course played to a par of 72 over 7131 yards. There are nine teams and 52 individual golfers competing.

Trevecca sits in fourth place with a team score of 330. Faulkner (Ala.) leads with a 322 score. Lambuth and Union are tied for second at 325.

Trevecca's Joey Bradley posted a (40-40) 80 which placed him in seventh place. Skip Jones and William Potts were next in 13th place for the Trojans with an 83. Jones scored a (40-43) 83 and Potts carded a (41-42) 83. Will Scism shot a (42-42) 84 which was good enough for 17th. Bobby Humburg shot a (44-44) 88. There were two Trojans competing as individuals. Grant Moffett shot a (42-43) 85 and David Saldana carded a (40-53) 93.

Trevecca finished ahead of UT-Martin, Cumberland University, Martin Methodist, Bethel College and Union's B Team.

The second round will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11 at the Ross Creek Landing Golf Club in Clifton, Tenn.

The TranSouth Tournament will be held at the Greystone Golf Course in Dickson, Tenn. on April 20-21
