JACKSON, Tenn. - Trevecca (18-14, 7-3 TranSouth) visited Union University (20-18, 5-2) on Saturday for a key TranSouth matchup, dropping both games of the double-header. The Bulldogs took game one 6-1.
 
Neither team scored in the first game until Union broke through with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Bulldogs added four more runs in the sixth inning to stretch their lead to 6-0. The Trojans scored once in the top of the seventh, but that was all they could muster, as Union took game one 6-1.

Stephanie Fisher (6-6) took the loss for Trevecca, tossing a complete game and allowing six earned runs on 15 hits. She did not walk a batter and struck out just one Union hitter. Sydney McMillin (10-7) earned the win for Union. Samy Simon was 1-for-4 in the game for the Trojans with a double; Cassady Critchfield was 1-for-1 with a double and a run scored; and Megan Suggs was 1-for-4 with an RBI. Union scored six runs on 15 hitsand committed two errors, while the Trojans scored one run on five hits and committed one error.
