NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca (20-15, 7-4 TranSouth) will host NCAA D2 North Alabama (20-28) on Tuesday sweeping the Lions 1-0 and 2-0.

In the second game, Riley Mashburn started in the circle for Trevecca, tossing five innings and allowing just three hits and three walks while striking out six before yielding to Stephanie Fisher. Fisher (7-6) tossed the final two innings to earn the win, allowing two hits and striking out two batters. Trevecca scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning when Chelsea Bailey led off the inning by reaching second on a pair of North Alabama errors. two batters later, Sammy Simon drove her in, and Simon later scored on an RBI single from Melinda Patterson to provide the Trojans with an insurance tally. North Alabama got the tying runs into scoring position in the top of the seventh, but Fisher shut the door to earn the 2-0 win. Anna Ard (6-6) was charged with the loss for the Lions. Simon was 1-for-3 in the game with a run scored and an RBI (19). Trevecca scored two runs on five hits and committed one error, while North Alabama notched five hits and made three errors.

Trevecca returns to action on Thursday for Senior Day when they will make up a rained out game with the Lyon College Pipers (20-19, 5-6 TranSouth). The teams will play a single game at 3:00.
