Union has defeated Trevecca in three consecutive games all in the last eight days. Trevecca defeated Union last Thursday in Jackson. It was the first of a three-game series. Union came back to win the next two and defeated Trevecca in Monday's opening round of the TSAC Tournament.

Trevecca has been to the TranSouth Championship Round three years in a row and reached the semifinal game in 2006 and 2003. Trevecca won the tournament in 2005.

The likely starters in game one are Tim Dunn (12-0) for Trevecca and Karl Harkin (9-3) for Union. It is the third time each has faced their opposing lineups in eight days. Dunn defeated Union 10-1 last Thursday and Harkin defeated Trevecca 6-1 in last Thursday's second game of the series. On Monday, it was Harkin getting the advantage in the 3-1 Union win in a head-to-head battle with Tim Dunn. Dunn was spectacular, but was forced out of the game in the seventh. Union scored a pair of runs for the win in the eighth.

The Trevecca baseball program has now won 35 games in a season seven consecutive seasons.
