NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca softball coach Ben Tyree has signed Murfreesboro (Blackman High School), Tenn. product Breanna Zeis to his 2009-2010 signing class.

Zeis, who played for Scott Dorsett at Blackman and Jeff Breeden and Dorsett with the Firebirds Gold travel team, led the Firebirds to the USFA U-18 World Series Championship. Zeis was named to the All-District team in 2008 and 2007 for the Blackman Blaze. The 2008 Blaze Offensive MVP was named to the District All-Tournament team.

Tyree likes the fact that the 5'6" outfielder is battle tested after playing in a tough district, "We look forward to Breanna joining our squad this fall. Her high school team competed in one of the top districts in the state and her travel ball team has had plenty of success. She has the ability to play several positions and play them well. We expect her to compete for playing time early in her career."

Zeis has also been a standout on the soccer field. She started all four years during her high school career.
