NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca head baseball coach Jonathan Burton is pleased to announce his 15th signing for the 2009-2010 season - Chattanooga State Catcher Alex Bush.
Bush, a 6'0" junior from Maryville, Tenn., joins the Trojans after performing well for the Tigers in 2009. Bush notched 21 hits in 62 at-bats, including eight doubles. He hit .339 and posted a .431 on-base percentage on the season, while slugging .533 with men on base and .585 with runners in scoring position.
"Alex is a welcome addition to our team," said Burton. "We needed a catcher with experience behind the plate handling our pitching staff. He is strong defensively and has a great arm. Alex is the type of kid that is going to improve everyday because of the commitment and work ethic he has to Trevecca and the game of baseball."
