NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Trevecca's head baseball coach Jonathan Burton is pleased to announce the signing of Chattanooga State outfielder Edwin Borbon for the 2009-2010 season.

Borbon, a 6'1 junior from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, hit .353 for the Tigers in 2009. In 41 games he belted 47 hits including 15 doubles, and he successfully stole base.

"Edwin will be a guy that competes for a spot right away," coach Burton said. "He does a lot of things that we like to do here at Trevecca. We feel that in our offensive system he may have one of his best seasons. He is a kid that works daily on his baseball skills and is a team first player."
